This intruder alarm panel does have the ability to auto-set if programmed via engineering software, I wanted greater control (in case I forgot!) of when the system was auto set using Home Assistant, hence this blog.

I have previously enabled outputs to display their area status to Home Assistant and this was key in setting up the automation.

Using connected software I assigned an input type of ‘keyswitch pulse’ (0026) to input 6 on a local ZEM.

The interface from Home Assistant to the ZEM input was via a Shelly 1 Gen-4, this device offers a volt free changeover contact and can be controlled directly by the Shelly App or triggered via the Home Assistant proxy.

Within the Shelly App, the Shelly 1 relay output was programmed to be pulsed for 10 seconds irrespective of the trigger, the automation in Home Assistant operates if the following conditions are met:

‘Time =21:30 and both areas C & D are unset’.

This setup works well along side the ability to access the system via the ProControl+ Mobile App.
