on YouTube for his video on this controller and how to create the <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/00XLvWAcqLg?si=kQ9lwJHmM4MQWsxz\">Octopus Automation<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"497\" height=\"262\" src=\"https:\/\/www.chatteris.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/freeocto.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7512\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.chatteris.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/freeocto.jpg 497w, https:\/\/www.chatteris.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/freeocto-300x158.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 497px) 100vw, 497px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"371\" height=\"268\" src=\"https:\/\/www.chatteris.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/depth-ktf.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7509\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.chatteris.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/depth-ktf.jpg 371w, https:\/\/www.chatteris.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/depth-ktf-300x217.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 371px) 100vw, 371px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>The replacement controller is the same dimensions and current switching capacity as the existing one and fits within the 35mm deep backbox, also I reused the existing floor buried temperature sensor which worked perfectly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">May 2019<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I installed 150W\/M electric underfloor heating in the kitchen and utility, each area was controlled using a separate TS700 programmable touch screen controller, these were bought off eBay for \u00a320 each.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"460\" height=\"460\" src=\"\/\/www.chatteris.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/VPB-TSTAT_prod.jpg\" alt=\"ts700\" class=\"wp-image-3404\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.chatteris.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/VPB-TSTAT_prod.jpg 460w, https:\/\/www.chatteris.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/VPB-TSTAT_prod-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.chatteris.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/VPB-TSTAT_prod-300x300.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 460px) 100vw, 460px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">TS700 UFH Controller<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"\/\/www.chatteris.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/T700-Thermostat-instructions.pdf\">TS700-Thermostat-instructions<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The TS700 worked fine but wasn\u2019t very user friendly to programme and so you ended up not making any changes after the initial setup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Looking for an alernative controller which will be within my buget and fit the same footprint as the TS700 and be Smart, I came across the BHT-002 series of WiFi enabled Thermostats on Aliexpress.com.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Smart aspect means I can use an App (Beca Smart) to control and programme the controller, also as its App based, I can share permissions with familiy so they also can control the floor heating, another bonus is the ability to have control via Alexa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"512\" height=\"504\" src=\"\/\/www.chatteris.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Moes.png\" alt=\"Moes\" class=\"wp-image-3402\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.chatteris.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Moes.png 512w, https:\/\/www.chatteris.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Moes-300x295.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 512px) 100vw, 512px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">BHT-002-GBLW UFH Controller<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"\/\/www.chatteris.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/BHT-002-Series-Instructions.pdf\">BHT-002 Series Instructions<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The BHT-002 Series of controller has different versions, the one I selected was 240v AC and capable of switching 16A, it has a backlit display and WiFi connectivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Connection to the iPhone App was painless and the instructions an setup are considerably easier than the TS700, the cost from Aliexpress was \u00a320 each, unfortunatly I had to pay \u00a311.07 Customs Duty when they came into the UK, but they were a breeze to swop over from the TS700 and work perfectly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A nice touch is the comfort light on the controller to show it is powered, all in all, a really good move to make the change.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Updated 21 October 2024 Ketotek KTF0155A 20 October 2024 updated my under floor heating (UFH) controller from the existing BH-002 to Tuya compatible Ketotek KTF0155A.
